ABOUT

My enjoyment of graphic design began when I was working as a photographer's assistant. As well as being general slave and chief equipment mover, I helped the photographer with image editing, developing skills in post-production.

A couple of years on, I was using my skills to help my authors friends by creating teasers and sales images. I also joined Fiction Conviction book blog as reviewer and graphics creator, and found that I was called upon more to help friends. I undertook some design courses to better understand the formal concepts behind the art.

For a long time my author buds have urged me to start designing covers, but it wasn't until I made a couple for my friends, that I realized how much I enjoyed the process. And when some other graphic design friends suggested teaming up, I was swept along, and Starcrossed Covers was created.

Premade definitely doesn't mean inferior quality. I put a lot of work into each premade cover until I'm completely satisfied that I've created a gorgeous work of art. Sometimes that takes a day, and sometimes it can take a week or more. I don't post a cover for sale unless I would be 100% happy and proud to use the cover on my own book. In fact, I wish I had time to write all the stories to go along with my covers!

I hope that authors will find something they like here, and if not, feel free to message me with ideas for themes. I'm always on the lookout for new and challenging tasks.

In my spare time I read, blog, review and write, and when I'm not tied to my computer I love getting outdoors.
